Position Summary: Company manufacturers medical, principally cardiac, devices related to diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures.  This individual will be responsible for all New Product Development activities within the MR Strategic Business Unit: developing MR global strategy, devising and implementing NPD plans against that strategy, and ensuring the ultimate market success of the MR SBU products. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Participate in global strategy development and overall leadership of the MR SBU
• Develop specific NPD-related goals and plans in support of the MR SBU strategies
• Manage the overall portfolio of NPD projects within the MR SBU to meet each project's stated goals relating to quality, cost, budget, time, features, safety and reliability, and compliance with worldwide regulatory agencies;
• Ensure NPD processes used by the MR SBU are efficient, effective and compliant, and lead continuous improvement efforts to evolve processes. 

Requirements:

 

• Education:
  • Bachelors Degree required, BS - Engineering preferred;
  • Masters Degree required, MBA preferred;
• Extensive experience (minimum 7 - 10 years) in:
  • New product development processes;
  • Project management experience in the Medical Device industry;
  • Formulating and implementing product and market strategies on a global basis;
  • Regulatory requirements relating to medical devices;
  • International product requirements and development experience, particularly Europe and Japan.

 

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $125k - $150k, plus 20% bonus provision;
• Full relocation package is provided.
